Redwine

Of course, our main grape variety in southern Burgenland is Blaufränkisch, which we develop with the distinctive characteristics of our region, from local wines to single-vineyard wines, typical of the variety and region. The unique terroir and lots of sun also allow us to perfect the international grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet.

Natural Wines

Natural wines are wines that are made with the least possible intervention by the winemaker during vinification. Natural wine processing means that consistency is just as important in the wine cellar as it is in the vineyard, which means that the grapes and the wine should be treated as close to nature as possible in the vineyard and also in the wine cellar. Natural wines are as “alive” as industrially produced wines cannot be The following principles are adhered to: organic viticulture hand-picked grapes spontaneous fermentation without the use of laboratory yeast no additives to the must - no acidification, no chaptalization and no addition of yeast nutrients or enzymes no strong processing of the wine no filtration no fining minimal or no addition of sulfur dioxide (upper limit of 70 mg sulfur dioxide per liter of wine)

Orange Wines

The term “Orange Wine” refers to a special winemaking technique and has become established as a common name for white wines that have undergone prolonged contact with the mash or an extended maceration (days, weeks or even months). Orange wine is a wine made from white grapes with prolonged contact with the mash during fermentation. This has led to orange wine being referred to as the “fourth color of wine” or “white wine made like red wine.” White wines sometimes show structures and tannins that one would normally only expect in red wines, but with the freshness and fruitiness of white grapes. Extended contact with the peel produces a smorgasbord of unusual flavors, from overripe garden fruits to herbs and hay to fragrant chamomile.
